Shasta Regional Medical Center, has a responsibility to protect the safety of its healthcare workers, patients, and their families.
For the safety of our patients, staff, and community Shasta Regional Medical Center is following the guidance from the CDC and Shasta County Health and Human Services regarding visitor restrictions in the hospital. Guidelines through the CDC have loosened and our policies continue to reflect those recommendations. These policies will continue to change as we maneuver through this unprecedented time.
MASKING IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES
VISITORS
- Maximum of two visitors per patients will be allowed
- Visitors must be at least three years of age and able to wear a mask at all times.
- Visitors must provide COVID Vaccine Card or proof of a negative test within 72 hours of visit.

- Patients may have ONE visitor for pre-op visit and day of procedures scheduled for arrival before 8:00am
- Saturday – Sunday 8:00am – 6:30pm
- Monday – Friday 6:30am – 6:30pm

- Restrooms
Please know that:
- We are taking all necessary measures and precautions to protect the safety of our patients and staff.
- We specialize in the care of patients with complex illnesses and have experience with managing and containing novel viruses.
- This is a rapidly evolving situation and we suggest you check out the latest updates on the CDC website as well as the website of your state health department.
- Our hospital has adopted and put in place California Crisis Care Continuum Guidelines that, together with our own hospital policies and operational plans, serve as a framework for emergency management planning during this COVID-19 pandemic.
- Hospital visitor policies have been updated to reflect national efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the U.S. This policy may change at any time due to the rapidly evolving situation.
- Hospital entry points will be limited to enable screening of visitors. Visitors who show any signs of illness, including mild symptoms, should not visit patients in the hospital or accompany patients to the emergency department.
